The story of Ross' bass playing and eventual joining of Knocked Conscious is not an ordinary one. He initially did
not want to play bass. But in the summer of 2001, the pressure from Jack McKee became so great that he simply bought a bass
to make Jack shut up. His first bass was a red Squire Precision Bass. However, after playing for a little while he learned
to love it. He immediately started lessons, and joined KC. He started off always going to websites to find tabs to play the
bands covers. He did however learn to play many songs this way. But, he could never really learn for himself, and in the winter
of 2001 stopped taking lessons for a long time. During this time, he did, however, buy a new bass, a used black American Jazz
Bass. Also, during this time, he bought a new Crate 100W amp, which he still occasionally uses today. In August of 2002, Ross
started bass lessons again with a new teacher and it worked out great. Using the stuff he learned from his new teacher, he
has been able to help add awesome bass licks, riffs, and songs to KC.
